In a rich career spanning sixty years, Chucho has pushed boundaries in pursuit of new expressions in Afro-Cuban music. Featuring Horatio “El Negro” Hernandez on drums, Armando Gola on bass, and Roberto Jr Vizcaino on congas, Chucho’s Royal Quartet released Cuba & Beyond to great acclaim in 2024, earning a Grammy Award nomination.
